The Center for Disease Control Diabetes Prevention Program classes are offered in 16 week blocks.
The first class will be held on Tuesday April 14th, 12pm- 1pm (Eastern Time)
Then every Tuesday from 12pm-1pm
Prizes will be awarded to those that complete the program
If you miss week one you can still join in week 2.

For many diabetes is a worry the Diabetes Prevention Program will teach you what can be done to prevent diabetes
This class can reduce your risk of developing diabetes by 50%
Learn how to take control of your health and prevent diabetes. Members meet once a week for 16 weeks, then monthly for ongoing support and education. Meetings are an hour long and continue monthly for a total of one year from the first weekly meeting. Healthy snacks and drinks are provided - members may also bring a bag lunch.

The program is free for clinic patients, with a suggested donation of $75 for the year or $10 per meeting for community members (tax deductible). Community scholarships are available. Advance sign-up is required, and new groups begin every 16 weeks.
